Associate Investment Banker
Associate, M&A will participate in all functions of the investment, portfolio management, and capital raising activities. Associate, M&A will take the lead in financial modeling, preparing investment committee materials, due diligence, industry research and play a key role in the investment decision of the fund.

- Evaluating investment opportunities through financial modeling, valuation and returns analysis
- Screening potential transactions by reviewing business plans and having introductory calls and meetings with parties raising capital
- Preparing materials for and presenting opportunities to Investment Committee
- Managing all phases of the due diligence process on potential transactions by working with all key stakeholders involved in the transaction
- Market and industry research to uncover trends and potential areas of investment
- Monitoring performance of portfolio on a monthly and quarterly basis and presenting key metrics to management.
- Support capital raising activities by preparing materials for offering documents, overseeing fund waterfall and other ad-hoc requests from potential investors

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a top university
- 2-4 years’ experience at a top-tier investment bank or consulting firm
- Experience in consumer/retail or real estate a plus
- Ability to develop analytical models.
Preferred Education and Experience
- MBA a plus, but not required
- 2-4 years additional experience in private equity, venture capital or corporate development a plus

Requirements
- 1 year of experience in investment banking (M&A and equity capital markets experience would be valued)
- Graduate of leading national/global college or university
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications and financial modeling
- Understanding of financial statements, accounting and finance
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced and challenging work environment
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional work ethic as well as time and process management skills
- Extremely proficient in conversational and written English
